Carbon Arc's MCP Server provides specialized tools designed to answer specific business questions. Each tool is optimized for a particular type of analysis, helping you get structured, actionable insights from natural language queries.

If all tools are enabled, the system will automatically select the most appropriate tool based on your query. For best results, tailor your query to a specific tool to ensure a more precise response.

Rate Limits

To keep the platform responsive for everyone, MCP tools are rate limited per user across two rolling windows: a per-minute cap (to smooth out bursts) and a per-hour cap (for sustained usage).

Limits are tiered by tool weight — lightweight discovery/search tools allow higher volume, while heavier analytical tools that generate insights have lower limits. See each tool's page above for its exact limits.

If you exceed a limit, the request returns a rate-limit response indicating how many seconds to wait before retrying — simply pause and retry after that window.
