Lenses

We are launching Lenses, a new product native to the Carbon Arc web application that allows you to query Carbon Arc's data assets using natural language. Lenses is powered by the Carbon Arc MCP Server and uses persona-based "Lenses" (e.g., Investor, Consultant) to translate your prompts into MCP tool calls and generate contextualized, decision-ready outputs.

Key details:

  • No additional LLM subscription required. Use Carbon Arc's MCP Server within the Carbon Arc platform with your existing MCP subscription (required to access Lenses).
  • Persona-based interaction. Select a Lens tailored to your use case to receive outputs framed for your workflow.
  • Research mode. Evaluate a larger range of data assets and generate comprehensive reports for in-depth entity, company, or category analysis. Research mode may consume more MCP tokens than standard tool calls.
  • MCP token-governed. Lenses usage is metered through your existing Carbon Arc MCP token allocation. Daily limits reset at 12:00 AM ET; purchased Primary MCP tokens are consumed only after the daily allotment is exhausted. Discovery tools like "Search Entities" do not consume MCP tokens.
  • Same data, same governance. Lenses queries the same Carbon Arc MCP Server and data assets available through non-native access, with Carbon Arc–defined orchestration and workflow guardrails applied on top.
