v3.01
Release Date: July 2, 2025
We’re excited to introduce Carbon Arc 2.0 – a major upgrade inspired by the way you use the platform every day. We’ve rebuilt the experience from the ground up to deliver faster insights, more granular data, and a more scalable, programmatic foundation.
What’s New in Carbon Arc 2.0
-
Unified Builder: Explore subjects, topics, insights, and entities through a redesigned, intuitive builder. You can now purchase and interact with single or multiple “frameworks” — entity-insight pairs enriched with temporal, spatial, and contextual filters — directly in the Workspace. A short video on the new interface can be found here.
-
Daily-Level Data: Go beyond monthly or weekly trends with daily-level data (or the finest granularity available from our data providers) for earlier signal detection and more precise modeling. Data will continue to be refreshed on a weekly basis.
-
Scalable API Infrastructure: We’ve transitioned to a query-based infrastructure powered by Insight IDs, enabling scalable programmatic access to data. Updated API documentation and migration guides are available here, and our Customer Success team is standing by to assist with any questions.
-
New Python SDK: We launched a new Carbon Arc Python Package that better supports our new infrastructure – providing cost transparency, easy-to-use functions, and a more robust programmatic experience. More information – including documentation on getting started, and tutorials – can be found here.
-
Centralized Order Management: Easily manage purchased frameworks, dashboards, and more through a unified “Order History” interface that supports both UI and programmatic workflows.
-
Documentation: We revamped our platform, reference, and developer documentation to provide greater detail, and it can be found at docs.carbonarc.ai. You can find FAQs here.
-
Hub Update: Our Hub is getting a refresh and will relaunch by the end of the week in Carbon Arc 2.0. Until it is available there, please continue to access Hub on platform.carbonarc.co during the transition period.
What You Need to Know
-
Transition: We will continue to support the existing Carbon Arc platform (platform.carbonarc.co) for a limited period as we transition to Carbon Arc 2.0. The new platform can be accessed at app.carbonarc.ai.
-
API Migration: As we migrate from API-based code to frameworks powered by Insight and Entity IDs, existing scripts will need to be updated. Please find migration details here, and our Customer Success team is available for detailed questions.
-
Workspace: Existing workbooks will need to be migrated to remain active. Our Customer Success team will be reaching out regarding any workbooks accessed in the past 60 days. Workbooks with no recent activity will be deprecated unless migrated — please reach out to support@carbonarc.co for assistance.
Whether you’re discovering insights in the UI or integrating data into your models and workflows programmatically, Carbon Arc 2.0 is built to help you go faster — and deeper.
